Privacy Policy
Dant Saathi is a WhatsApp assistant that helps a dental clinic in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India, book, change and cancel appointments.
1. Current status
Dant Saathi is in testing. During testing it is used only with the developer's own phone numbers and made-up data. No real patient data is collected yet. This policy describes how we will handle data when real patients begin to use the service, and it will be updated before that happens.
2. What we collect
When you chat with the assistant, we keep only what is needed to run your appointment:
- Your WhatsApp phone number (so we can reply and send reminders)
- Your name, as you give it
- Your appointment date, time and status
- A record of your consent (yes or no, and when)
- A short chat history (a few days at most) so the assistant can follow the conversation
3. What we do NOT collect or store
- Medical diagnoses, symptoms, prescriptions, X-rays or treatment notes. Those stay in the doctor's own records.
- Date of birth, home address, Aadhaar or other ID numbers
- Payment card details
If you type a health detail in a chat, the assistant will not give medical advice. It will offer you the clinic's doctor or receptionist.
4. Why we use your data
- To book, change and cancel your appointments
- To send appointment reminders, only if you agreed
- To let the clinic staff see who is coming
We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising.
5. Who processes your data
To run the service, your messages pass through trusted providers:
- Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform): carries WhatsApp messages
- Anthropic (Claude): an AI service that reads your message and helps write the reply
- Our hosting and database provider, in India where possible
The clinic's staff can see your name, number and appointment.
6. How long we keep it
- Chat history: a few days
- Appointment records: as long as the clinic needs them, and then they are deleted or anonymised
- Consent records: while we hold your other data
7. Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to show, correct or delete your data, or to withdraw consent (for example by writing "STOP" in the chat or by emailing us). We will respond within a reasonable time.
8. Children
If a patient is under 18, a parent or guardian must give consent and book on their behalf.
9. Security
We use secure connections (HTTPS), keep secret keys out of our code, check that messages really come from WhatsApp, and limit who can see data. No system is perfectly safe, and we will tell the clinic and affected people if there is a serious data leak.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The date above shows the latest version.

दंत साथी (Dant Saathi) एक WhatsApp असिस्टेंट है, जो रांची, झारखंड के एक डेंटल क्लिनिक में अपॉइंटमेंट बुक, बदलने और रद्द करने में मदद करता है।
1. वर्तमान स्थिति
दंत साथी अभी परीक्षण (testing) में है। अभी इसमें केवल डेवलपर के अपने फोन नंबर और बनावटी डेटा का उपयोग हो रहा है। अभी किसी असली मरीज का डेटा नहीं लिया जा रहा। असली मरीजों के आने से पहले यह नीति अपडेट की जाएगी।
2. हम क्या जानकारी रखते हैं
आपका अपॉइंटमेंट चलाने के लिए हम केवल इतना ही रखते हैं:
- आपका WhatsApp फोन नंबर (जवाब और रिमाइंडर भेजने के लिए)
- आपका नाम, जो आप बताएँ
- आपके अपॉइंटमेंट की तारीख, समय और स्थिति
- आपकी सहमति का रिकॉर्ड (हाँ या नहीं, और कब)
- थोड़े दिनों की चैट (अधिकतम कुछ दिन), ताकि असिस्टेंट बातचीत समझ सके
3. हम क्या जानकारी नहीं रखते
- बीमारी की जाँच (diagnosis), लक्षण, दवा की पर्ची, X-ray या इलाज के नोट्स। ये डॉक्टर के अपने रिकॉर्ड में रहते हैं।
- जन्म तिथि, घर का पता, आधार या कोई और पहचान संख्या
- कार्ड या पेमेंट की जानकारी
अगर आप चैट में कोई स्वास्थ्य संबंधी बात लिखते हैं, तो असिस्टेंट दवा या इलाज की सलाह नहीं देगा। वह आपको क्लिनिक के डॉक्टर या रिसेप्शन से जोड़ने की पेशकश करेगा।
4. हम आपकी जानकारी क्यों उपयोग करते हैं
- आपके अपॉइंटमेंट बुक, बदलने और रद्द करने के लिए
- अपॉइंटमेंट का रिमाइंडर भेजने के लिए, केवल अगर आपने सहमति दी हो
- क्लिनिक स्टाफ को यह दिखाने के लिए कि कौन आ रहा है
हम आपका डेटा बेचते नहीं हैं और विज्ञापन के लिए उपयोग नहीं करते।
5. आपका डेटा कौन प्रोसेस करता है
सेवा चलाने के लिए आपके संदेश इन भरोसेमंद सेवाओं से गुजरते हैं:
- Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform): WhatsApp संदेश पहुँचाता है
- Anthropic (Claude): एक AI सेवा, जो आपका संदेश समझकर जवाब लिखने में मदद करती है
- हमारा होस्टिंग और डेटाबेस प्रदाता, जहाँ संभव हो भारत में
क्लिनिक का स्टाफ आपका नाम, नंबर और अपॉइंटमेंट देख सकता है।
6. हम कितने समय तक रखते हैं
- चैट इतिहास: कुछ दिन
- अपॉइंटमेंट रिकॉर्ड: जितने समय क्लिनिक को ज़रूरत हो, फिर हटा दिए जाएँगे या पहचान हटाकर रखे जाएँगे
- सहमति का रिकॉर्ड: जब तक हम आपका बाकी डेटा रखते हैं
7. आपके अधिकार
भारत के डिजिटल व्यक्तिगत डेटा संरक्षण अधिनियम, 2023 के अनुसार आप अपना डेटा देखने, सुधारने या हटाने के लिए कह सकते हैं, या अपनी सहमति वापस ले सकते हैं (जैसे चैट में "STOP" लिखकर या हमें ईमेल करके)। हम उचित समय में जवाब देंगे।
8. बच्चे
अगर मरीज 18 साल से कम है, तो माता-पिता या अभिभावक को सहमति देनी होगी और उनकी ओर से बुकिंग करनी होगी।
9. सुरक्षा
हम सुरक्षित कनेक्शन (HTTPS) का उपयोग करते हैं, गुप्त चाबियाँ कोड से बाहर रखते हैं, जाँचते हैं कि संदेश सच में WhatsApp से आया है, और डेटा देखने वालों को सीमित रखते हैं। कोई भी सिस्टम पूरी तरह सुरक्षित नहीं होता। अगर कोई गंभीर डेटा लीक होता है, तो हम क्लिनिक और प्रभावित लोगों को बताएँगे।
10. बदलाव
हम यह नीति बदल सकते हैं। ऊपर की तारीख सबसे नया संस्करण बताती है।
